Workshop to learn about PAID summer research programs

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center (UROC) is hosting an Undergraduate Summer Research Experience workshopon Monday, November 28th @ 3 PM at UROC. The workshop will introduce students to paid Research Experiences and the general application process. Follow-up sessions will help students draft their personal statements and complete their application packages. Applications are normally due in the January - early February timeframe so it's important that students are made aware of these great opportunities now!
These summer research programs are highly competitive, so please encourage students (particularly Sophomores and Juniors) that have strong potential to conduct research to attend the workshop. Small flyers about the workshop were delivered to your mailboxes (please let us know if you need additional hard copies) and a full-size flyer is attached to this email. Please encourage your students to attend and remind them that they must RSVP by Wednesday, November 23rd.
