Want to do paid research over the summer? Attend this workshop at UROC on Feb. 1, 2012 at noon

Hello all,

I hope you enjoyed your winter break and that you're excited for another successful semester. UROC is hosting an Undergraduate Summer Research Experience workshop on Wednesday, February 1st @ 12 PM at UROC. The workshop will introduce students to paid research experiences and the general application process. Follow-up sessions will help students draft their personal statements and complete their application packages. Although applications are typically due in the January - early February timeframe, many programs also have deadlines that extend into March and April so it's important that students are aware of these great opportunities now.

These summer research programs are highly competitive, so please encourage students (particularly Sophomores and Juniors) that have strong potential to conduct research to attend the workshop. Please encourage your students to attend and remind them that they must RSVP to UROC by Monday, January 30th.
